      Abstract
      Sweet potato productivity is not balanced with proper utilization. The current utilization sweet potato in Indonesia are still many processed into refined products household. Sweet potato potential can be maximized when processed into semi-finished materials that sweet potato flour is more economically valuable. Sweet potato flour industry has not been quite a lot and still dominated by small and medium industries. Problems which are commonly among other processed that are not hygienic, fluctuating product quality, and sewage treatment potluck. The problems is caused by there is no awareness of owners implement systems plant layout. This research aims to make the design plant layout of the processing plant sweet potato flour that has layout and material flow so that the process is faster dan tidy. The research is divided into two stages, the planning and implementation stages of the design plant layout. Design of plan layout made at the planning stages. From the design plant layout then caried out the aplication form of trial production. Ends with technological analysis and product analysis. Result of the analysis set Ciampea worthy as the plant site. Based on the selection process of the production and selection of equipment generating plant with an installed capacity of 107 kg/day and a maximum capacity of 214 kg/day. Design the layout using a systemic approach to see the connection between the activity and the relationship between space. The result of design layout is factory site plan along with the material flow from the receipt of raw materials to product storage (Lampiran 5). Based on the result of product analysis indicates that the product has been produced according to the standard flour products dan standard sweet potato flour product in Indonesia.
