dc.description.abstract | The aim of this research was to study the effect of Moringa oleifera tea leaves before and after on post-pandrial blood glucose in healthy adults. The preliminary study was the optimization of Moringa leaves tea drinks, including Moringa leaves tea brewing stage, hedonic test, and analysis of EGCG content. The main study was a clinical trial involving 10 healthy adult subjects selected based on inclusion criteria. There were two treatments, drinks tea after glucose (P1) and drinks tea before glucose (P2). Preliminary observations showed that the most acceptable Moringa tea was from 3 grams of dried Moringa leaves brewed in 200 ml and contained EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate) 114.37mg. The results of clinical trials showed there was no significant difference between Area Under Curve (AUC) control and P1 treatment (p>0.05). There was a significant difference between the AUC control and P2 treatment (p<0.05). There was no significant difference between glucose score control P1 treatment (p>0.05). There was a significant difference between glucose score control and P2 treatment (p<0.05). | en |
