Hubungan Tinggi Badan Ibu, Konsumsi Pangan dan Status Gizi Anak Balita
Abstract
Stunting is a major nutritional problem that still oftenly happened in Indonesia. The prevalence of stunting in children under five years reaches 37.2% or more than a third of children under five years in Indonesia. Under five years of age is a golden period in child life and vulnerable to malnutrition. The objectives of this study were to analyze relationship of mother’s height, food consumption and nutritional status in children under five years. The study design used a cross -sectional study with a sample of 90 children that consisted of 47 stunting children and 43 normal children. The result of Chi Square showed that there was no association between feeding practices and mother’s nutritional knowledge. The result of Pearson correlation showed that there were no significantly relationship between mother’s height (r=0.062, p=0.562) and energy adequacy level (r=-0.123, p=0.248) with nutritional status. But there was negative relationship between protein adequacy level with nutritional status (r=-0.223, p=0.035).
