Hubungan antara Pengetahuan dan Sikap Ibu tentang Gizi dan Posyandu dengan Status Gizi Balita di Kecamatan Pasar Rebo

Abstract

Knowledge and mother’s attitudes about nutrition and posyandu are required to improve children feeding pattern so that adequate nutrition for the children is reached, and in this way they can grow and develop well. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between knowledge and mother’s attitudes about nutrition and posyandu with nutritional status of children in subdistrict Pasar Rebo. Study design used in this study was a cross-sectional design. The sampling of this reasearch was 100 mother and their underfive children. Data processing and analysis was done using Microsoft Excel and the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 16.0 for Windows. Based on the results of statistical test, there was a significant correlation between the level of participation of mothers with nutrition knowledge levels (p<0.05). The level of mothers nutrition knowledge had no significant correlation to level of energy and protein adequacy (p> 0.05). Mothers nutrition knowledge level had no significant correlation with nutritional status of children based index weight for age, height for age, and weight for height (p> 0.05).
