This study aimed to determine the effect of probiotic Enterococcus faecium IS-27526 and catfish ( Clarias gariepinus) oil in functional biscuit enriched with catfish flour and sweet potato (Ipomoea sp.) flour on fecal microbiota of aged monkey (Macaca fascicularis). There were 9 female aged Macaca fascicularis adapted for one month before the study, and divided into 3 groups, namely: control group, probiotic E. faecium IS-27526 group, and probiotic E. faecium IS-27526 and fish oil group. After 90 days administration, the fecal lactic acid bacteria in probiotic E. faecium IS-27526 group as well as probiotic E. faecium IS-27526 and fish oil group increased significantly (p < 0.05) as compared to the control group. The fecal coliform bacteria in probiotic E. faecium IS-27526 and fish oil group decreased significantly (p < 0.05) as compared to the control as well as probiotic E. faecium groups after 90 days.
