Kondisi dan Persepsi Industri Rumah Tangga Pangan (IRTP) Tentang Label Kemasan Pangan (Studi Kasus di Kota Bogor)
Abstract
Label is one of important part of food packaging. The objective of this research is determining the level of Small-Scale Food Industries' (IRTP) knowledge about food labeling. The research was done by survey method to 88 respondents in Bogor. The result shows that the knowlegde level of respondents was low. More than 55 % IRTP’ labels accordanced to the regulation but only 16 % of IRTP understood about food labeling. About 50 % of the most reliable source of information about food labeling regulation was derived from Indonesian Health District Offices. The results of spearman correlation test showed that the correlation between IRTP characteristics (age, education, occupation and socioeconomic status) were not significant (p>0.05) with their perception about food labeling.
