dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between food consumption and family socio-economic with stunted status of adolescence. The study design was cross sectional involving 266 samples within nutritional status that were 133 stunted and 133 normal. Food consumption data was obtained by food recall and record metodFamily socio-economic data were collected using questionnaire. The result showed that 63.9% of stunted and 68.4% of normal nutritional status of samples were categorized, based on BMI, as thin and normal, respectively. Family income, mother’s and sample’s nutritional knowledge were significantly (p<0.05) higher in normal than stunted samples. Correlation test showed that family income and parent’s education as well as mother’s and sample’s nutritional knowledge were significantly correlated with nutritional status.en
