dc.description.abstractThe research aimed to analyze the effect of family characteristics, vulnerability, family life change, and family stabilization toward the elderly‟s quality of life. This research design is retrospectif and cross sectional. Samples of this research were 34 elderly (60-75 years), who still a spouse, haven‟t had, and used purposively selected. The study was conducted in Dramaga subdistrict and used interviews with questionnaires. Quality of life is divided into two that are subjective and objective. Subjective quality of life is measured by perceptions of physical health, social relationship, and environmental. The objective quality of life measured by income, health, education and basic needs. The results showed more than half of the total sample had a relatively high quality of life. Stabilization of the family, family life changes, and vulnerability was low. Quality of life influenced age, length of married, and number of children.
