dc.description.abstractHalal certification is audit process to food producers as a basic for Indonesian Council Ulama to decide the halalness of a product. Halal certificate is a evidence the product by BPOM halalness which is used to allow producers to put halal logo on food packaging. The existence of LPPOM MUI as a credible, professional, and nationally and internationally recognized halal certification institution needs to be supported by appropriate education and evaluation tools. Main objective of this internship program was to evaluate the halal certification process in LPPOM MUI. Evaluation process was conducted by distributing questionnare to food industries in order to determine problems faced by food industries in halal certification process. The inputs were used by LPPOM MUI for improvement in halal certification process.en
