dc.description.abstractObjective: The goal was to identify hunger family characteristic and not the hunger, analyzing mothers’ consumption level at hunger family and the not hunger family, analyzing mothers’ nutritional status at hunger family and the not hunger family, analyzing family socioeconomic characteristic with consume energy level, and also analyze relation between mother consumption with nutritional status at hunger family and not hunger family. Design: Cross Sectional Study in Sukamaju, Cibungbulang, Bogor and Sukaresmi, Tanah Sareal, Bogor. Data were collected between April until November 2006. Samples were selected by proportional method. Data type were collected is secondary data and primary data. Primary data is characteristic , hunger perception, mother consume which got by recall 2 x 24 hours method. Characteristic were collected by through interview using questioner. hunger Perception data collected by interview in each family member, except child, interview delegated to her mother. Result: Result of research show that 55 respondents (17.10%) experiencing hunger and 267 respondents (82.90%) do not hunger. Prevalence family hunger is 23.33%. Biggest proportion of education at hunger family (78.57%) and also the not hunger family (50.00%) at elementary school. Mostly the mother education from hunger family (78,6%) and also the family not hunger (63.0%) at elementary school. Mothers’ nutritional knowledge at three category that is lower (35.00%), average (50.00%) and high (15.00%). Result correlation Spearman test show relation which significant between hunger with nutritional knowledge. Mostly KK at hunger family (64.29%) and not hunger family (26.17%) working as labors. Average Total Expenditure, expenditure nonfood at hunger family higher than food expenditure not hunger family. Result of correlation show that positive relation (r = 0.33; p=0.01) between hunger family and not hunger family. Result of t-test also shows the difference expenditure of hunger family and not hunger family. Family of hunger 85.7% under poorness line, while family of not hunger only 17.4% what is under poorness line. Consume mother which the hunger not more immeasurable than mother which the starvation correlation test show the relation between consumption energy, protein, calcium, ferrum and selenium with hunger and not hunger family. t-test result show level of sufficiency all vitamin of nutrition have an effect on reality to occurrence of hunger at p = 0.05. Average Respondent own value of IMT 25.09 ± 4.17. Mean assess IMT of hunger is 25.74 ± 3.77 and at individual of not hunger is 24.90 ± 4.30. Mostly mother from family of hunger be at criterion of overweight (64.29%) and normal (35.71%). Partly not hunger family (50.00%) is at status of normal. Result of correlation test shows that no relation between educations and consumption level. But, there are Significant relation between mother education (p < 0.05; r = 0.30) , expenditure ( p < 0.05; r = 0.27), food expenditure (p < 0.05; r = 0.35), expenditure of capita ( p < 0.05; r = 0.36) and expenditure of food capita (p < 0.05; r = 45) by consumption level. Result of correlation test shows the negative relation (p < 0.05;r = - 0.39) between consumption level with nutritional status.en
