Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are guidelines that ensure food safety and product quality through the control of the production environment, facilities, equipment, processes, and personnel. This study was motivated by the suboptimal implementation of GMP in the production area of PT XYZ due to the incomplete adjustment of the work system following the relocation of the production facility. The approach used in this study was the 5S methodology (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke), a management approach aimed at creating a more productive work environment through sorting, organizing, cleaning, standardizing, and fostering a culture of discipline. This study aimed to analyze the effect of 5S implementation on the level of GMP compliance. The root causes of nonconformities were identified using a fishbone diagram and 5 Why analysis, followed by the implementation of 5S using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach. Prior to implementation, the GMP compliance score was 107 (Category C/Poor), with 13 identified nonconformities. Following the implementation, 9 out of the 13 nonconformities (69.23%) were successfully resolved, resulting in an increase in the GMP compliance score to 116 (Category B/Good).
