dc.description.abstractKondisi mikroklimat kandang di wilayah tropis sering menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan termal yang berdampak pada respon fisiologis dan kenyamanan sapi perah dara. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat kenyamanan sapi perah dara berdasarkan respon fisiologis yang dikaitkan dengan kondisi mikroklimat menggunakan sistem IoT D-Ruminansia. Penelitian dilakukan pada delapan ekor sapi perah dara Friesian Holstein dengan pemantauan mikroklimat secara real-time untuk memperoleh nilai temperature humidity index (THI), serta pengukuran frekuensi respirasi dan denyut jantung pada tiga waktu pengamatan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil menunjukkan nilai THI berada pada kategori nyaman hingga stres panas ringan, dengan peningkatan signifikan pada siang hari yang diikuti kenaikan frekuensi respirasi sebagai respon paling sensitif terhadap beban panas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemantauan berbasis IoT mampu mengidentifikasi perubahan kondisi lingkungan secara cepat dan akurat. Penerapan sistem ini berimplikasi pada peningkatan efisiensi pengelolaan kandang dan kesejahteraan ternak.
dc.description.abstractBarn microclimate conditions in tropical regions often cause thermal imbalance that affects physiological responses and the comfort of dairy heifers. This study aimed to analyze the comfort level of dairy heifers based on physiological responses associated with microclimate conditions using the IoT based D-Ruminansia system. The study was conducted on eight Friesian Holstein dairy heifers through real-time microclimate monitoring to obtain temperature humidity index (THI) values, along with measurements of respiration rate and heart rate at three observation times. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that THI values ranged from comfortable to mild heat stress, with higher values observed during the daytime, followed by increased respiration rate as the most sensitive response to heat load. The research results show that IoT-based monitoring can identify changes in environmental conditions quickly and accurately. The implementation of this system leads to improved efficiency in barn management and enhances animal welfare.
