Symbiotic organic fertilizers like Jamu Bumi offer promising market potential and business opportunities, though further testing and development are still needed. The success of such new products depends on the company’s ability to understand consumer needs while maintaining cost efficiency. This study compares the production outcomes and farming analysis of rice cultivation using Jamu Bumi versus chemical fertilizers, while also identifying key challenges in the application of organic fertilizers. Data were collected through field observation, direct interviews, questionnaires, and literature review. The farming analysis includes cost structure, revenue, farm income, R/C ratio, B/C ratio, BEP analysis and Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). Results show that Jamu Bumi achieved an R/C ratio of 1.99, B/C ratio of 0.99, and a low-valued BEP, outperforming chemical fertilizers with an R/C ratio of 1.89, B/C ratio of 0.89, and a high-valued BEP. ISM analysis revealed the main obstacle in organic fertilizer application is the limited access and knowledge among farmers, with local governments and academics identified as key actors in addressing these issues.
