      Abstract

The growth of capital market investors in Indonesia has continued to increase rapidly in recent years, reflecting the rising public interest in the capital market. Alongside this growth, the majority of investors in Indonesia are students and university learners. Despite the growing enthusiasm for investing, losses due to illegal investments have also been on the rise, indicating that the level of investment literacy in Indonesia remains relatively low. In response, the Management Department of IPB University has integrated the Investment Management course into its curriculum to enhance investment literacy among students. This study aims to assess students’ investment literacy, compare the literacy levels of students exposed to Project-Based Learning (PJBL) and non-PJBL educational methods, and examine the influence of investment literacy on investment decisions, using educational methods as a moderating variable. The research employs a mixedmethod approach, utilizing quantitative approach collected through questionnaires administered to 158 respondents and qualitative approach gathered via in-depth interviews. Data analysis methods include descriptive analysis, the Mann-Whitney U test, and Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that IPB University Management students possess a relatively high level of investment literacy. Moreover, there is no significant difference in investment literacy between students taught through PJBL and non-PJBL methods, nor is there a significant moderating effect of educational methods on the relationship between investment literacy and investment decision-making.
