      Abstract
Faktor risiko kejadian konstipasi yaitu asupan serat (OR: 9,4; 95%CI: 1,0-85,6) dan pengetahuan gizi (OR: 5,5; 95%CI: 1,1-27,1).

Constipation has a negative impact on health. The study aims to analyze the risk factor for constipation in IPB University dormitory students. The study used a case control study with a total of 70 subjects. Constipation was measured by the Rome IV Criteria questionnaire, physical activity and fiber intake by interviews using the Global physical activity questionnaire and Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire, water intake by a 2x24-hour food record. Subjects had poor nutrition knowledge in the constipation (91%) and normal (74%) group, inadequate fiber intake in the constipation (97%) and normal (74%) group, adequate water intake in the constipation (54%) and normal group (69%), and moderate physical activity in the constipation (68%) and normal (71%) group. There were no significant difference in subject characteristics, nutritional knowledge, water adequacy level, and physical activity between constipation and normal group (p >0.05). There was a significant difference in fiber adequacy level between constipation and normal group (p < 0.05). The risk factor for constipation is fiber intake (OR: 9.4; 95%CI: 1.0-85.6) and nutritional knowledge (OR: 5.5; 95%CI: 1.1-27.1).
