dc.description.abstractThe objectives of this study were to identify elementary students life style between the normal and overweight/obese nutritional status. Life style means physical activities and eating habits. Cross sectional study design was applied in this study and sample were drawn by purposive sampling. Data collected using a questionnaire and also with the observations. Eating habits explained by habit for breakfast, consumption of vegetables and fruits, snacking, fast food and soft drink, milk and water drinks. Physical activities were explained by how long students were watching television, playing games / computer, light activities such as sit and stand, medium activities such as jogging and walking or household activities, and heavy activities such as sport activities. Result shows that individual and family characteristics of the two samples are almost similar, likewise the eating habits and the physical activities. Independent sample t test show that there are significantly differences between their fast food consumption, breakfast frequency, parents nutritional knowledge, parents nutritional status, and exercise habit (P<0.05).id
