      Kecukupan Zat Gizi Makro dan Mikro pada Komunitas Vegetarian Di Batam

      Abstract
      Vegetarian merupakan diet dengan mengonsumsi pangan yang berasal dari nabati dan menghindari atau membatasi sumber pangan hewani sehingga mudah untuk terkena risiko kekurangan zat gizi tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran konsumsi zat gizi makro dan mikro pada komunitas vegetarian di Yayasan Guang Ji Indonesia daerah Kota Batam. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara snowball sampling dengan kriteria subjek berusia 19-64 tahun, minimal 3 bulan vegetarian, dan tidak sedang hamil dan/atau menyusui (bila subjek perempuan). Desain penelitian adalah cross-sectional. Hasil penelitian didapati alasan subjek memilih menjadi vegetarian adalah kepercayaan (83%), kesehatan (76%), menjunjung animal rights (73%), pengaruh lingkungan sekitar (48%), dan pengaruh keluarga (4%), status gizi subjek mayoritas adalah normal (73%), serta sumber pangan sering dikonsumsi berupa telur ayam, susu sapi, bayam, tahu, dan tempe. Uji hubungan positif yang signifikan antara tingkat kecukupan energi (p=0,047) dan karbohidrat (p=0,036) dengan usia, hubungan negatif antara tingkat kecukupan protein (p=0,001), zat besi (p=0,000), dan vitamin B9 (p=0,000) dengan jenis kelamin, tidak terdapat hubungan antara lama vegetarian dengan tingkat kecukupan gizi, serta terdapat hubungan positif antara IMT dengan asupan lemak (p=0,045) juga hubungan negatif antara IMT dengan vitamin B9 (p=0,000), dan vitamin B12 (p=0,009).
       
      Vegetarian is a diet that mainly consumes plant-based food sources and avoids or minimizes the intake from animal-derived food sources. The purpose of this study is to understand the description of macronutrient and micronutrient intake in the vegetarian community of Yayasan Guang Ji Indonesia in Batam City. This was a cross-sectional study and data was collected using snowball sampling with criteria of 19-64 years old, minimal 3 months of vegetarian, and currently not pregnant and/or lactating. The result of this study shows the reasons subjects choose to be vegetarian are beliefs (83%), health (76%), protect animal rights (73%), environmental influence (48%), and family influence (4%), majority of subjects nutritional status is normal (73%), and the most consume foods are chicken egg, spinach, tofu, and tempeh. There are significant positive correlation between energy (p=0,047) and carbohydrate (p=0,036) adequacy level with age, negative correlation between protein (p=0,001), iron (p=0,000), and vitamin B9 (p=0,049) adequacy level with gender, there is no correlation between time span being vegetarian with nutrient adequacy level, and there are positive between fat (p=0,045) adequacy level with BMI also negative correlation between vitamin B9 (p=0,000), and vitamin B12 (p=0,009) adequacy level with BMI.
