Canned champignon is one of the superior products of PT Suryajaya
Abadiperkasa. When there are many defects on the final product, i.e. the quality does
not meet the company standard, then it will be resulted in the rejection of the products.
Defect canned champignon products in PT Suryajaya Abadiperkasa consists of six
categories that include broken, brown spot, stem too long, size, miss forming, open
veil. The implementation of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve,
Control) and six sigma method successfully evaluates the quality of canned button
mushroom products at PT Suryajaya Abadiperkasa. Broken, size, and openveil are the
three main defect that most affect the quality of canned button mushroom products
because it covers 81.50% of production before repairs are made. The value of defect
per million opportunities (DPMO) and sigma canned button mushroom products of PT
Suryajaya Abadiperkasa before improvement was 379,459 and 1.81 respectively. The
values of DPMO and sigma canned button mushroom products after improvement
were 245,307 and 2.19 respectively. Improvement efforts by conducting regular
supervision and briefing to workers have been shown to lower the DPMO value by
134,152 and increase the sigma value by 0.38. Produk jamur kancing kaleng merupakan salah satu produk unggulan dari PT
Suryajaya Abadiperkasa. Jika banyak ditemukan defect pada produk akhir, yaitu jika
kualitas tidak memenuhi standar perusahaan, maka dapat berakibat produk akan ditolak
(reject). Defect produk jamur kancing kaleng di PT Suryajaya Abadiperkasa terdiri dari
enam kategori yang meliputi broken, brown spot, stem too long, size, miss forming,
openveil. Implementasi metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)
dan six sigma berhasil mengevaluasi kualitas produk jamur kancing kaleng di PT
Suryajaya Abadiperkasa. Defect broken, size, dan openveil merupakan tiga kerusakan
utama yang paling mempengaruhi kualitas produk jamur kancing kaleng karena
mencakup 81,50% produksi sebelum dilakukan perbaikan. Nilai defect per million
opportunities (DPMO) dan sigma produk jamur kancing kaleng PT Suryajaya
Abadiperkasa sebelum perbaikan yaitu 379.459 dan 1,81. Nilai DPMO dan sigma
produk jamur kancing kaleng setelah perbaikan yaitu 245.307 dan 2,19. Upaya
perbaikan (improvement) dengan melakukan pengawasan dan pengarahan secara rutin
kepada pekerja telah terbukti dapat menurunkan nilai DPMO sebesar 134.152 dan
meningkatkan nilai sigma sebesar 0,38.
