dc.description.abstract | Population growth in Indonesia is very rapidly led to increased demand for animal protein. Hence the need for alternative protein sources to meet the needs of the human protein. Earthworms contain high protein so it can be used as an alternative protein source. Livestock waste which if not handled properly can damage the environment. Therefore, the waste from livestock can be used as feed worms. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of earthworms as a source of alternative porotein by utilizing the processing of livestock waste as feed worms. This study was done in Raya Dramaga street Km 7, Village Marga Jaya, District Dramaga, Bogor regency. The data used in this research is secondary data which include statistical data of the number of cattle in Indonesian, census, production and consumption of livestock products. Variables measured is the population of worms, the worms feed sufficiency, protein production livestock products, and protein consumption of livestock products. The results showed that the worms can be used as an alternative source of protein and livestock waste can meet the needs of feed worm. | id |
