dc.description.abstractPT Jaya agrotama Umas’ tapioca factory engaged in the starch industry since 1973 a subsidiary of Gunung Sewu Group along with PT Great Giant Pinnaple. Factory’s production capacity seven tons / hour are still not able to meet the purchase order from the customer company. The purpose of the study was: (1) analyze the effect of factory layout to productivity. (2) make recommendations related to the new layout aspects productivity. The data used is primary data through observation and secondary data through library and literature relevant to the research. Methode used to redesign the layout is From-To Chart, Activity Relationship Diagram, and Unequal-Area Facility Layout (UA-FLP). The results showed that the displacement of the flow of materials to 43,7 m and 145,7 m distance before and the distance changes equal 101 m.en
