Peran Ganda, Curahan Waktu Kerja, dan Kontribusi Ekonomi Istri pada Keluarga Petani

Abstract

The aim of this research to identify and analyze double burden, time allocation for work, and the contribution of wife to farmer families income. This research was using Descriptive analysis and Pearson correlation. Sample were working wife who comes from farmers families, which was performed among 70 working wife in Desa Ciaruten Ilir, Kabupaten Bogor, in April-Mei 2013. The results showed that almost all wife (90%) have double burden in the high category. Another results showed almost wife (92.9%) dominate domestic sector roles, and almost quarter (72.9%) wife can coordinate roles in public sector with husband. A time allocation wife for work have an average of 6 hours 6 minutes in daily, and the contribution of wife to the family income by 33.54 percent monthly. There are a positive significant relationship between time allocatin for working wife and the economic contribution of wife, and significant relationship between economic contribution of wife and family income. Regression test showing 41.0 percent research variable influence economic contribution of wife. Husband income give significant influence to economic contribution of wife.
