Pemenuhan Tugas Perkembangan Keluarga pada Keluarga dengan Suami Istri Bekerja Menurut Jenis dan Alokasi Waktu Kerja Istri
Abstract
This study aimed to identify differences fulfillment of family developmental tasks in dual earner families according to the type of work (formal and informal) and allocation of working time (up to 8 hours/day and more than 8 hours /day). The sample in this study are dual earner families that have children who still need a mother's physical presence with high intensity. Samples which were taken by stratified non proportional random sampling of 160 people. Datas are collected through interviews using questionnaires. The result of research shows that dual earner families have not been able to achieve the fulfillment of the ideal family developmental tasks. Aspects of family developmental tasks that need to be improved is the financial aspect, health, religious, interests, and self-development. Meanwhile the result of sample t-test shows that fulfillment of family developmental tasks with wives who work in the formal sector are higher than families with wives who work in the informal sector. Based on wives’ allocation of working time, there is no real difference between fulfillment of family developmental tasks on families with wives who work up to 8 hours/day and families with wives who work more than 8 hours/day.
