dc.description.abstractIn this research, kampung chicken was fed with rice bran and cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) leaf as alternative feed. This research investigated the effect of feeding rice bran and cassava leaf to percentage of carcass and commercial cuts of twelve weeks old kampung chicken. The chickens were fed by commercial feed 100% (P), by rice bran 75% and cassava leaf 25% from 5th- 12th weeks (Q), and by rice bran 75% and cassava leaf 25% from 8th-12th weeks (R). This research was factorial completely randomized designed (RAL) with 2x3 pattern. Data was variant analyzed (ANOVA). The analysis showed the feeding method influence the percentage of carcass and commercial cuts of kampung chicken. The highest pencentage showed in P treatment whereas the lowest in Q treatment. Feeding by rice bran and cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) leaf began 5th weeks showed decreasing percentage of carcass and commercial cuts of kampung chicken. Rice bran and cassava leaf can be fed to 8-12 weeks old chicken resulting of 0.7-0.9 kg body weight and also showed the percentage of commercial cuts same as fed by 100% commercial feed (P) except wing parts (P<R).en
