dc.description.abstractBathymetry is a depiction of the bottom waters since the measurement, processing, up to the visualization. The purpose of this research is 1) To map the marine shallow waters on Tiga Island, Natuna Regency by using image of ALOS AVNIR-2 by applying the Lyzenga algorithm (1985). 2) To test the accuracy of satellite images using the formula Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) or confusion matrix. The data used is the digital image of ALOS AVNIR-2 acquisitions on May 20, 2009 which have geometric and radiometric correction, the data on the current tidal and current coverage of the image and depth of field data collection conducted by SEMEO BIOTROP in October and November 2010. Green canal is the canal corresponding to Mapping of Marine Shallow Water on Tiga Islands, Natuna Regency. Marine Shallow water estimation results derived from ALOS AVNIR-2 imagery in shallow waters of the Tiga Island only able to interpret the depth to a depth of about 8 meters. The accuracy of classification results (Overall Accuracy) between the values and depth of field image of the alleged depth is 68.79%. A linear regression Model that analyzed quite insufficient for use on image transformation of ALOS AVNIR-2en
