dc.description.abstractDevelopment of national palm oil industry is very prospective. One of the palm oil companies that have a high contribution for Indonesia is PTPN VI. The purpose of this study to know the production process, the factors that influence the quality and implementation of quality control analyzes conducted by PTPN VI on the production process of palm kernel oil. This study uses primary data collected from interviews and secondary data from company data and analysis tools with a causal diagram and control charts. Based on the analysis, production quality control (QC) is done by the company is QC of raw materials, QC of production processes and QC of proceeds production. Production of palm kernel oil and palm oil are produced in the factory, with a series of processes, the receipt of raw materials, boiling, thresing, compression, separation of oil from sludge and citations core. This process will affect the quality factors, namely palm oil free fatty acids (FFA), moisture content (MC) and levels of impurities (LOI), while palm kernel is the moisture content (MC) and levels of impurities (LOI). In the cause effect diagram, the high and low value of FFA, MC and LOI is determined by several factors, namely fresh fruit bunches (FFB), labor, machinery and equipment, methods and environment. In control charts, process oil and palm kernel production still uncontrolled variation caused by many causes.en
