      Performa Produksi dan Organ Dalam Puyuh Diberi Pakan Mengandung Dedak Gandum dan Tepung Daun Mengkudu

      Abstract
      Utilization of wheat bran (WB) and noni (Morinda citrifolia) leaf meal (NLM) which contains high protein and other essential substances in quail feed is expected no to compete with human food. The aim of study was to observe the production performance and internal organs of quail fed wheat bran and noni leaf meal supplementation. This study used 128 quails aged three weeks. This experiment was completely randomized designed (CRD) with four treatments and four replication. Dietary treatments were R0 (Control), R1 (6% NLM + 5% WB), R2 (6% NLM + 10% WB) and R3 (6% NLM + 15% WB). All data were subjected to analysis of variance and differences were tested by Duncan multiple range test. The results showed that dietary treatments was not significant (P>0.05) on liver, heart, kidney and intestine of quail. Nevertheless, dietary treatments was significant on percentage of quail gizzard (P<0.01) and ceacum (P<0.05). The addition of noni leaf meal and wheat bran up to 6% and 15%, accordingly, improved quail performance and productivity
       
      Dedak gandum dan tepung daun mengkudu mengandung protein cukup tinggi serta beberapa senyawa penting lainnya. Pemanfaatan sebagai sumber pakan puyuh dapat mengurangi persaingan dengan kebutuhan manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi performa produksi dan organ dalam puyuh diberi pakan mengandung dedak gandum dan tepung daun mengkudu. Puyuh yang digunakan sebanyak 128 ekor berumur 3 minggu. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan yaitu R0 (Kontrol), R1 (TDM 6% dan DG 5%), R2 (TDM 6% dan DG 10%) dan R3 (TDM 6% dan DG 15%). Perbedaan antara perlakuan diuji dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian pakan perlakuan tidak berpengaruh terhadap persentase hati, jantung, ginjal dan usus puyuh. Namun, penggunaan pakan perlakuan meningkatkan persentase rempela (P<0.01) dan sekum (P<0.05). Penambahan tepung daun mengkudu dan dedak gandum sampai taraf 6% dan 15% mampu mempertahankan performa dan produksi puyuh.
