A Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (F–AAS) analytical method for the quantification of minerals calcium, zinc, and magnesium was validated. An instrument calibration curve was obtained from 0 to 4.0 μg/mL for calcium standard, 0 to 1.0 µg/mL for zinc standard, and 0 to 1.2 µg/mL for magnesium standard, with correlation coefficient values higher than 0.990 for all the minerals. Limit of detection (LOD) was detected at 0.0107; 0.0128; 0.0086 µg/mL for calcium, zinc, and magnesium respectively. Limit of quantification (LOQ) was determined at 0.0357; 0.0426; 0.0285 µg/mL for calcium, zinc, and magnesium. Recovery by spiking the mineral standard solutions in infant food sample at low concentration was observed at 85.82; 84.81; 108.67%, medium concentration at 95.41; 108.11; 102.49%, and high concentration at 95.60; 108.04; 105.68% for calcium, zinc, and magnesium. Within lab reproducibility (WLR) values were 9.52% for calcium, 4.08% for zinc, and 1.55% for magnesium. Ruggedness evaluation using HNO3 0.05M diluting solution compared to demineralized water had significant P0,05 for calcium and zinc (1.95 x 10-5 and 3.71 x 10-10).
