Strategi Koping, Dukungan Sosial, dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga di Daerah Rawan Bencana, Kabupaten Bandung

Abstract

Form of family’s defense to dealing with a difficult time is doing coping strategies. In addition, social support from people around could help families to achieve prosperity. This study aims to determine the coping strategies, social support and prosperity of families in disaster-prone areas in Bandung regency. Study site and sample selected purposively. A total sample of 200 families selected in district Rancabali and Kutawaringin, South Bandung Regency. Viewed as two dimensions family coping strategies are coping strategies to expenditure savings and additional revenue. The highest social support to the family was emotional support. Instrument support was the most rarely accepted to the family. The average of subjective prosperity of the families was low but viewed from the objective prosperity, most families belonging to prosperous. This showed that the prosperous family of the economy aspect was not always prosperous of the other aspects.
