Apis dorsata bee is Indonesia local bee, and generaly can be found in the forest. Until now A. dorsata bee has not been cultured like A. mellifera dan A. cerana. A. dorsata, a honey producing bee, has larger body size than A. florea and A. cerana. Limited information about the producing honey bee, especially A. dorsata, in this study it is to be compare the body sizes of A. dorsata worker bees. The data used in this study the results of measuring were the size of body parts of A. dorsata worker bees, those from; North Luwu, Tesso Nilo National Park, Sumbawa, and The Lake Sentarum National Park. The number of worker bees A. dorsata used in this study were 400 samples (100 samples from each location). The eight body variables based on Ruttner et al. (1988), which the length of proboscis (X1), the length of the front wing (X2), the width of the front wing (X3), the width of abdomen (X4), the length of hind leg femur (X5), the length of hind leg tibia (X6), the length of hind leg metatarsus (X7), and the width of hind leg metatarsus (X8), and those eight variables by descriptive statistical analysis and independent 2-sample t-test. Some differences in size of the body parts of worker bees A. dorsata among those from North Luwu, Tesso Nilo, Sumbawa and The Lake Sentarum are seen in the length of proboscis (X1), the length of the front wing (X2), the width of the front wing (X3) and the length of hind leg femur (X5).
