The problems of water resources is fluctuation where there is drought in the dry season and floods during the rainy season. One effort to optimize the utilization of limited water resources while the community needs for water has increased is the management of water in the main channel with the method of linear programming (LP) that can distribute water at its optimum. So needed formulate mathematical models and optimize the water demand for agricultural, domestic and industry in West Tarum Canal. The data required in this study are the data of agricultural land area, population and industry that utilizes water from the West Tarum Canal. Water needs in agricultural research is set to 0,86 liters/sec/ha, the domestic equivalent to 120 liters/person/day or 3,6 m3/month and the industry of 350 m3/day or 10.500 m3/month. Debit is included in this optimization is the monthly average discharge West Tarum Canal. Optimization is done by determining the proportion of the allocation of water resources, that is for domestic 26,3%, agriculture 71%, and the rest of the industry at 2,7%. Based on the results of the optimization of agricultural land area, population, and the industry is 12.486 ha, 6.560.099 peoples, and 231 industries and with revenues amounting to IDR 295.714.500,00.en
