dc.description.abstract | Employee empowerment becomes important for today’s organization. Each organization requires responsive and independent employees. In developed countries organizations implement empowerment as an effective tool in improving employee performance, the concept of empowerment is also to be adapted in Indonesia. Therefore, a study on empowerment and its impacts in Indonesia is required. The main method used was survey research with a questionnaire to obtain primary data from respondents in the form of quantitative data. The questionnaire used for structural empowerment refers to the Conditions of Work Effectiveness Questionnaire (CWEQ-II) developed by Rosabeth Moss Kanter (1993), Psychological Empowerment Instrument Psychological Empowerment developed Spreitzer (1995), Minnessota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) developed by Weiss, Dawis, England, and Lofquist (1967), and Organizational commitment refers to the questionnaire Affective, Continuance, Normative Commitment Scale developed by Allen and Meyer (1990). The results of this study indicate that structural empowerment has a significant influence on job satisfaction and organizational commitment are mediated by psychological empowerment. | en |
