During transportation and storage the packages produce faces numerous hazards, these may be mechanical, environmental, or biological. Mechanical hazards can be defined as those caused by impact, vibration, compression and puncturing. This research to study using the Cartons for transportation avocado and how interaction with the material substance the carton and the temperature of storage to keep the quality of avocado during simulation transportation. Factorial completely randomized design with two treatments of size cartons (capacity 7 Kg and capacity 15 Kg to packaging the avocado), tree treatments of the material substance the carton (cut of newspaper, the newspaper that wrap every avocado and nothing the material substance the carton ), and two treatments of temperature storage (5oC and 28oC). After the packaging, the avocado do simulation transportation with vibration table during 2 hours with the amplitude 3.2 cm and frekfuensi 3.4 Hz . After the simulation transportation the avocado experience to sorting, then avocado have storage at 5oC and 28oC. The quality parameter have to measure are mechanical hazard, reduction of weigh, hardness, and content of sugar. The research show that the size cartons, kinds of the material substance the carton and temperature of storage have different Mechanical hazards, reduction of weigh, hardness, and content of sugar. The result from simulation transportation show that the packaging with carton where capacity 7 Kg, using the cut of newspaper, and storage in 5oC are the best packaging to transportation the avocado in long distance, in stone of road as well as the road.
