      Abstract
The house was the place for sheltering and living for human. Material election to build a house was depended by weather in the local area, social status, availability, and the economic capacity. As the changing of the time, people now more prefer to choose the material for their buildings by using bricks or concrete. This was caused people‟s paradigm in this time where the building conception in sub-urban area by using bricks or concrete as the material had social status and economic more higher than only use natural material. In fact, on the theory, building materials which contain difficult mass will save heat energy in large amount and release it in long time than light buildings material. The goal of this research was comparing the number of temperature, relative humidity, and airflow velocity inside Baduy‟s traditional house and modern house and simulates it with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technique. From the simulation result, we can compare the result between both of them. And the result of grating eventually compared with the level of comfort in both of those buildings. The steps of this research were taking data in field (temperature, RH, air velocity, and solar radiation) by condition in 1st scenario, 2nd scenario, and 3rd scenario. The 1st scenario was done with condition the back‟s door closed and the other door was open. It was measured on 06.00 am, 07.00 am, and the next one hour until 05.00 pm. The 2nd scenario was done on 06.30 am, 07.30 am, and the next one hour until 05.30 pm. And the last, the 3rd scenario was done on 06.00 pm until 05.00 am every one hour. As the measurement result which refer by the maximum standard of comfort temperature in tropical area based through CEP Brookes (Karyono 2001), in Modern house the temperature number which more than 29.4oC started from 11.00 am until 02.30 pm and in Baduy‟s house from 12.30 pm until 02.00 pm. The highest temperature in Modern and Baduy‟s house was 31.07oC and 30.17oC and it was happened at 1.30 pm. The error number for temperature from the result of CFD simulation in Baduy‟s and Modern house is 11.88% and 12.31% then the error for RH is 10.09% and 8.66. Simulation result showed that the highest temperature inside buildings at 12.00 pm. That was because the highest number of radiation at that time.
