      Abstract
      Honey is a sweet solution containing sugar more than 70%, and has long used by people in the food industry, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The addition of honey in a transparent soap is expected to increase the softeness, smoothness, moisture and provide anti-bacteri activity on the skin. The aim of this research was determine the best transparent soap formula while added with honey based on soap chemical characteristic according to the SNI 06-3532-1994.
       
      Madu merupakan suatu larutan manis yang mengandung gula kental, dan sudah lama digunakan oleh manusia dalall1 industri ll1akanan, fannasi bahkan kosll1etik. Penall1bahan madu pada sabun transparan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan nilai guna dari sabun, seperti : memberikan kesan lembut, halus, melembabkan dan memberikan aktivitas antibakteri pada kulit. Sabun madu transparan merupakan salah satu produk yang dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu inovasi dari penggunaan madu dalam industri kosll1etik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan formula terbaik dari penambahan madu pada sabun transparan, serta menganalisa sifat kimia sabun tersebut sehingga sesuai dengan SNI 06-3532-1 994.
