dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of family, gender, and peer-group with musical intelligence and academic achievement among high school students in Bogor.There had been selected 100 samples by proportional random sampling method. Adolescents based on gender, origin of high school, and classes had been taken purposively. The data collection included characterstic of family, characteristic of adolescents, characteristic of peer-group, time management, musical intelligence stimulation in family, extracurricular activities and academic achievement. Musical intelligence measured by filled-out a questionnaire consisted of musical arts knowledge and mastery of musical intstrument, while academic achievement measured by current academic score. Significant and positive correlation found between musical intelligence and self stimulation, musical time allocation, starting time for musical courses, number of instrument had learned, and musical stimulation in extracurricular activity. There was no relation between musical intelligence and academic achievement. | en |
