Public should be advised to reduce the rice consumption through diversification, related with rice over consumption in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the influence of value toward housewife’s attitudes and cutback behavior of rice consumption in Bogor rural and urban area. This study utilized cross sectional study. Research location was selected purposively, in Cikarawang and Sempur. Sample selection on this study was utilizing proposional random sampling; with the number of sample were 109. The result showed statistically significant differences between the two group of sample on values, attitude (cognitive, affective, and conative), and cutback behavior of rice consumption. Based on the result of Pearson correlation, there were significant and negative associations among values with cognitive, affective, and conative aspect of attitude; also with cutback behavior on rice consumption. Attitudes (cognitive, affective, conative) was positively associated with cutback behavior of rice consumption. Sample characteristics and family characteristics (age, education, income, and outcome) were significant and positively related with values, while attitudes (cognitive, affective, conative) and cutback behavior of rice consumption were significant and positively related with it. This research also showed that the values and affective aspect of attitudes were affected rice consumption reduction behavior. Pengurangan konsumsi beras dengan cara mengkonsumsi jenis pangan yang beragam dianggap menjadi solusi terkait kelebihan konsumsi beras di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh nilai terhadap sikap dan perilaku pengurangan konsumsi beras pada ibu rumah tangga di wilayah perdesaan dan perkotaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional study, Lokasi penelitian dipilih secara purposive yaitu di Desa Cikarawang dan Kelurahan Sempur. Tehnik contoh dalam penelitian ini adalah proposional random sampling dengan jumlah contoh sebanyak 109 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara variabel nilai, sikap (kognitif, afektif, konatif) dan perilaku pengurangan konsumsi beras pada kedua kelompok contoh. Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi Pearson, terdapat hubungan negatif antara nilai yang dianut contoh dengan aspek kognitif, aspek afektif, aspek konatif dan perilaku pengurangan konsumsi beras. Variabel sikap (kognitif,afektif,konatif) berhubungan positif terhadap perilaku pengurangan konsumsi beras. Variabel karakteristik contoh dan karakteristik keluarga (usia, pendidikan, pendapatan, dan pengeluaran) memiliki hubungan nyata secara negatif dengan nilai, sedangkan variabel sikap (kognitif,afektif,konatif) dan perilaku pengurangan konsumsi beras memiliki hubungan yang nyata positif.
