      Abstract
Transportation scheduling nowadays has been considered as one of important factor in efficiency of an industry production system. In a context of oil palm industry, transportation scheduling is in charge of implementation of fresh fruit bunch transportation from the field to the factory, and empty fruit bunch, as by product of fresh fruit bunch processing in factory, to the field. Research in PTPN VIII Kertajaya was done in order to meet optimization of transportation resource allocation. Transportation scheduling was implemented by considering crop scheduling and factory process scheduling. This transportation model scheduling consists of three sub models: production forecasting, crop route, and vehicle number. Data of daily production in January and February 2011 was simulated in a fit distribution and used as the basic of daily production forecasting in March 2011. Fresh fruit bunch production forecasting was used to decide the crop route, which was trip number needed to collect all fresh fruit bunches in all filed divisions. All trips needed and production time provided were input of vehicle number calculation, then these trips were scheduled in each time unit. Model validation used sMAPE and MAPE tests. Fresh fruit bunch forecasting resulted 159%, 95%, 67%, and 51% of sMAPE value for each Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, and Divison 4. It is better than current one used in the company which results 161%, 138%, 77%, and 65%. MAPE value for empty fruit bunch production forecasting is 23.41% and vehicle number forecasting is 12.43%.
