dc.description.abstractProduksi sapi potong di Indonesia belum dapat memenuhi besarnya permintaan daging sapi.Peningkatan konsumsi daging sapi di Indonesia harudsiimbangi dengan penambahan produksi yang memadai yaitu dengan cara peningkatan populasi sapi pedaging. Sapi bakalan yang dipelihara oleh industripenggemukan sapi potong di Indonesia umumnya berasal dari Australia, contohnya sapi Brahman Cross X()B. Mengingat harga dan kurangnya stok sapi pada saat itu, maka untuk mengatasinya dilakukan pengadaan sapi yang mempunyai kualitas cukup baik dengan harga yang lebih murah dibandingkan dengan harga sapi . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelaajri penampilan bobot badan, pertambahan bobot badan dan karkas sapi Brahman Cross dengan pemberian konsentrat yang berbeda, banyaknya sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 9 ekor.Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini diolah secara deskriptif. Rataani,m spangan baku dan koefisien keragamannya dihitung menggunakan rumus Walpole (199.2D)engan perlakuantiga jenis konsentratyang berbeda. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah bobot akhir, pertambahan bobot badan, bobot karkas, persentase karkas, persentase daging terhadap bobot karkas dan persentase karkas terhadap bobot akhir. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini yaitu bobot akhirP1 (325,30±10,90) relatif lebih rendah dibandingkan P2 dan P3masing-masing (380,30±16,20; 365,66±7,47), pertambahan bobot badan P3(0,18±0,11) rendah dibandingkan P1 dan P2 masing-masing (0,43±0,04; 0,79±0,11), bobot karkas P1 (153,97±5,05) relatif lebih rendahdibanding P2 dan P3 yaitu(168,30±9,96; 173,30±1,91), persentase karkas P2 (43,70±1,18) relatif lebih rendah dibanding P1 dan P3 yaitu (47,33±0,51; 47,40±0,45), persentase daging terhadap bobot karkas P2 (62,90±1,82) relatif lebih rendah dibandingkan P1dan P3 yaitu (63,50±1,30; 63,40±1,39), persentase daging terhadap bobot potong P2 (27,48±0,30) relatif lebih rendah dibanding P1 dan P3 yaitu (30,06±0,96; 30,42±0,40), penilaian konsumsi pakan dilakukan dengan uji deskriptif dengan jumlah masing-masing P1, P2 dan P2 yaitu (7,42; 7,99; 7,38). Secara keseluruhan respon Sapi Brahman Cross Heifer terhadap pakan P2 cenderung lebih baik daripada pakan P1 dan P3.en
dc.description.abstractBeef cattle production in Indonesia can not meet the huge demand for beef. Increased consumption of beef in Indonesia must be balanced with the addition of an adequate production is by way of an increase in beef cattle population. Calves that are kept by the fattening of beef cattle industry in Indonesia generally come from Australia, for example, Brahman Cross cattle (BX). Given the stock price and the lack of beef steer at the time, then to overcome them been procured Heifer cows that have a fairly good quality with a cheaper price than the price of steer beef. This study aimed to study the appearance of body weight, body weight gain and carcass Heifer Brahman Cross cattle by administering different concentrtioans, the number of samples used as much as nine calves. Data obtained in this study treated descriptively. The mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation was calculated using the formula Walpole (1992). With the treatment of three different types of concentrates. Variables observed in this study is the final weight, body weight gain, carcass weight, carcass percentage, meat percentage of carcass weight and carcass percentage of final weight. The results obtained in this study is the final weight of P1 (325.30±10.90) is relatively lower than P2 and P3 respectively (380.30±16,20; 365,66±7.47), of accretion P3 body weight (0.18±0.11) is relatively lower than P1 and P2 respectively (0.43±0,04; 0,79±0.11), carcass weight P1 (153.97±5.05) was relatively lower than P2 and P3 is (168.30±9.96; 173.30±1.91), percentage of carcass P2(43.70±1.18) was relatively lower than P1 andP3 is (47.33±0.51; 47.40±0.45), meat percentage of carcass weight P2 (62.90±1.82) is relatively lower than the P3 P1dan (63.50±1.30; 63.40±1.39), percentage of meat to cutting the weight of P2 (27.48±0.30) was relatively lower than P1 and P3 is (30.06±0.96; 30.42±0.40) , feed intake assessment conducted by a descriptive test with the amountof each P1, P2 and P2 is (7.42; 7.99; 7.38). Overall response Cross Heifer Brahman cattle on feed P2 feed tend to be better than the P1 and P3.
