      Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang alat destilasi air laut dengan sumber energi tenaga surya tanpa kolektor dan dengan kolektor, menguji kinerja alat destilasi air laut dengan sumber energi tenaga surya dan mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas alat, mengetahui kualitas air yang dihasilkan dari proses kerja alat
