dc.description.abstractOne hundred and sisty day-old chicks were used in a completely randomized design to investigate the effect of colored lighting on broiler live weight, carcass, giblet (gizzard, heart, liver) and abdominal fat percentages. Four treatment utilized were yallow (P1), red (P2), green (P3) and blue (P4). Each treatment replicated five times with eight bird in each replication. Treatment were applied when the chicks had reached the age of 2 weeks up to 5 weeks. After 5 weeks of rearing the chickens were weighted and slaughtered. Carcass, giblet (gizzard, heart, liver) and abdominal fat were weighted and the percentage to live weight were calculated. Data recorded were analysed using analysis ov variance. The result showed there were no significant different caused by the treatments.en
