Studi Polimorfisme Protein Darah dan Karakteristik Genetik Eksternal Ayam Arab Periode Produksi

The aim of this research was to know genetic variance of Arab chickens through blood protein polymorphism analysis by using electrophoresis method. Two loci were analysed, i.e. Transferin (Tf) and Albumin (Alb). Then, this research can be used to study the effect of transferin and albumin loci to egg production characteristic of Arab chickens. In additional, the observation of external genetic characteristic also can used to identify the genetic variation of Arab chickens. A number of 134 Arab chickens were used for the observation of external genetic characteristic, then 30 laying of Arab chicken selected to record the egg production until period of 20 days. The birds were divided into 2 groups based on the cage temperature treatment, i.e. environment temperature (±25 oC) and hot temperature (±30 oC). It’s done to determine the influence of the environment, especially different cage temperature on egg productivity of Arab chicken. Furthermore, blood protein polymorphism analysed by electrophoresis method, and blood sample taken from each chickens.
