      Abstract

Active member participation is crucial for environmental community sustainability, yet tangible engagement remains limited. This study aims to analyze the influence of social capital (comprising social networks, social norms, and social trust) and informational support on the participation level of environmental community members in DKI Jakarta. Employing a cross-sectional quantitative design, the study involved 302 respondents selected via voluntary sampling. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square tests, Spearman correlation, and PLS-SEM. Results indicate that informational support, social norms, and social trust positively and significantly affect participation, whereas social networks operate indirectly through the mediation of social trust. Social trust serves as the strongest direct predictor and informational support exerts the largest total effect among exogenous variables, highlighting the importance of organizational transparency and actionable practical information in enhancing member participation.
