basah tertutup. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Lingkungan
Akuakultur. Rancangan acak lengkap meliputi empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan.
Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri atas kontrol, penambahan ekstrak daun biji
sebanyak 1,5 mL/L (DJ15), 2,5 mL/L (DJ25), dan 3,5 mL/L (DJ35). Wadah
pemeliharaan ikan pasca transportasi berupa akuarium berjumlah 12 unit berukuran
30x35x40 cm.
| dc.description.abstract | Swordtail fish (Xiphophorus helleri) are ornamental fish with high
economic value that require proper transportation handling to maintain their
quality and survival. Closed wet transportation can induce stress in fish,
necessitating the use of natural anesthetic agents, such as guava leaf extract, to
suppress the stress response. This study aimed to determine the effect of guava leaf
extract supplementation on the stress level and survival of swordtail fish during
closed wet transportation. The research was conducted at the Aquaculture
Environmental Laboratory. A completely randomized design was employed,
consisting of four treatments with three replicates. Each treatment consisted of a
control, guava leaf extract supplementation at 1.5 mL/L (DJ15), 2.5 mL/L (DJ25),
and 3.5 mL/L (DJ35). Post-transportation fish were maintained in 12 aquaria
measuring 30 × 35 × 40 cm. The results showed that the addition of guava leaf
extract at a concentration of 3.5 mL/L (DJ35) resulted in the highest survival rate,
the greatest stress suppression, and the lowest economic loss
