dc.description.abstractPenurunan kualitas genetik ikan nila akibat perkawinan sekerabat memerlukan solusi hibridisasi antarnama varietas unggul guna mengevaluasi performa fenotipe kuantitatifnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi dan membandingkan performa laju pertumbuhan serta efisiensi pakan antara benih ikan nila strain Nirwana dan Bangkok pada fase pembesaran. Metode eksperimen rancangan acak lengkap digunakan dengan dua perlakuan strain dan tiga ulangan selama tiga puluh hari masa pemeliharaan di dalam wadah hapa kolam percobaan. Hasil analisis menggunakan uji statistik Independent T-Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi lebih besar dari 0,05 pada seluruh parameter uji. Temuan baru penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa kedua strain memiliki kapasitas biologis, efisiensi metabolisme, pola pertumbuhan alometrik positif, dan daya adaptasi lingkungan yang relatif setara tanpa adanya ketimpangan performa yang nyata secara ilmiah. Rata-rata laju pertumbuhan harian total Nirwana mencapai 1,21 gram per hari dan Bangkok sebesar 1,18 gram per hari, dengan tingkat kelangsungan hidup masing-masing sebesar 95,55% dan 91,11%. Implikasi faktual penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa kedua komoditas memiliki mutu produktivitas seimbang sehingga dapat diaplikasikan secara bergantian dalam industri akuakultur selama kualitas air media budidaya dikelola secara optimal.
dc.description.abstractThe decline in the genetic quality of Nile tilapia due to inbreeding requires hybridization solutions among superior varieties to evaluate their quantitative phenotypic performance. This study aimed to evaluate and compare the growth rate and feed efficiency between Nirwana and Bangkok strain Nile tilapia seeds during the grow-out phase. A Completely Randomized Design experimental method was used with two strain treatments and three replications over thirty days of rearing in hapa nets within an experimental pond. The Independent T-Test statistical analysis showed a significance value greater than 0.05 across all tested parameters. The novel findings of this study revealed that both strains possess relatively equal biological capacity, metabolic efficiency, positive allometric growth patterns, and environmental adaptability, with no scientifically significant performance disparity. The average total daily growth rate reached 1.21 grams per day for Nirwana and 1.18 grams per day for Bangkok, with survival rates of 95.55% and 91.11%, respectively. The factual implications of this research prove that both commodities have balanced productivity quality, allowing them to be applied interchangeably in the aquaculture industry as long as the culture water quality is optimally managed.
