Locus of control sebagai Mediator Pengaruh Konsep Diri dan Dukungan Sosial terhadap Kematangan Karier Siswa SMK di Kabupaten Bogor

Abstract

Kematangan karier siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Kabupaten Bogor tergolong rendah, tercermin dari tingginya tingkat pengangguran terbuka lulusan SMK. Penelitian ini menganalisis tingkat, hubungan, dan pengaruh konsep diri, locus of control, dan dukungan sosial terhadap kematangan karier, serta membandingkan penerima Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) dan non-PIP. Desain penelitian kuantitatif, dengan 200 siswa kelas sebelas dari enam SMK di Kecamatan Ciampea dan Ciomas. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS dan SmartPLS. Hasil menunjukkan kematangan karier, dukungan sosial, serta locus of control dimensi powerful others dan chance berkategori rendah, sedangkan konsep diri dan locus of control internal berkategori sedang tanpa perbedaan signifikan. SEM-PLS membuktikan locus of control internal berpengaruh positif signifikan, sedangkan chance berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kematangan karier. Konsep diri berpengaruh positif signifikan tidak langsung melalui locus of control internal, sementara powerful others dan dukungan sosial tidak berpengaruh. Temuan ini menegaskan penguatan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman diri dan keyakinan siswa sehari-hari untuk kesiapan dan kematangan kariernya secara optimal.

Career maturity among Vocational High School students in Kabupaten Bogor is low, reflected in the high unemployment rate among SMK graduates. This study analyzes the level, relationship, and influence of self-concept, locus of control, and social support on career maturity, and compares groups of the Program Indonesia Pintar recipients. The research used a quantitative, involving 200 eleventh-grade students from six SMK in Ciampea and Ciomas Districts. Data were analyzed using SPSS and SmartPLS. Results show career maturity, social support, and the powerful others and chance locus of control were low, while self-concept and internal locus of control were moderate, with no significant differences. The SEM-PLS showed internal locus of control had a significant positive effect, while chance had a significant negative effect on career maturity. Self-concept had a significant positive indirect effect through internal locus of control, while powerful others locus and social support had no effect. These findings underscore of strengthening students' self-understanding and confidence in daily lives. For their career readiness and maturity to an optimal level.
