      Abstract

The transition to college requires new students to demonstrate adaptability in the form of resilience. This cross-sectional quantitative study aims to analyze the influence of self-regulation, social intelligence, and spiritual intelligence on the resilience of new undergraduate students at IPB University. The study sample consisted of 141 active new Indonesian undergraduate students at IPB University for the 2025/2026 academic year, selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire on Google Forms, covering student and family characteristics, self-regulation, social intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and resilience. Data processing and analysis was conducted using Microsoft Excel 2016 and IBM SPSS 25.0, including Independent Samples T-test, Spearman’s Rho correlation, and multiple linear regression. Comparative analysis revealed that female students had significantly higher spiritual intelligence than male students, while natural science students showed significantly higher self-regulation and resilience than social science students. Correlational analysis showed that the field of study was negatively correlated with self-regulation and resilience; the father’s years of education were negatively correlated with self-regulation; also that selfregulation, social intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and resilience were positively correlated with each other. Meanwhile, regression analysis confirmed that spiritual intelligence, self-regulation, and gender had significant effects on resilience.
