dc.description.abstractHipertensi merupakan penyakit degeneratif yang ditandai dengan peningkatan tekanan darah dan menjadi faktor risiko utama penyakit kardiovaskular. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh yogurt sinbiotik berbasis Lactiplantibacillus plantarum IIA-1A5 dengan kombinasi pektin dan fruktooligosakarida (FOS) terhadap tekanan darah dan mikrobiologi usus halus tikus Sprague Dawley hipertensi. Penelitian dilakukan secara in vivo menggunakan 24 ekor tikus jantan yang dibagi menjadi empat kelompok perlakuan yaitu kontrol normal, kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, dan yogurt sinbiotik. Hipertensi diinduksi menggunakan L-NAME 40 mg/kgBB/hari dan NaCl 2,5%. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tekanan darah sistol, tekanan darah diastol, berat badan, total bakteri asam laktat (BAL), Escherichia coli, dan Staphylococcus aureus. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan uji Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian yogurt sinbiotik berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap peningkatan total BAL serta penurunan jumlah E. coli dan S. aureus. Yogurt sinbiotik juga mampu membantu menurunkan tekanan darah sistol dan diastol pada tikus hipertensi. Kata kunci: hipertensi, mikrobiota usus, tekanan darah, yogurt sinbiotik
dc.description.abstractHypertension is a degenerative disease characterized by elevated blood pressure and is a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of synbiotic yogurt based on Lactiplantibacillus plantarum IIA-1A5 combined with pectin and fructooligosaccharides (FOS) on blood pressure and small intestinal microbiology in hypertensive Sprague Dawley rats. This in vivo study used 24 male rats divided into four groups: normal control, negative control, positive control, and synbiotic yogurt group. Hypertension was induced using L-NAME at 40 mg/kgBW/day combined with 2.5% NaCl. Observed parameters included systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, body weight, total lactic acid bacteria (LAB), Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Tukey’s test. The results showed that synbiotic yogurt significantly increased total LAB and reduced the number of E. coli and S. aureus (P<0.05). Synbiotic yogurt administration also helped reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertensive rats. Keywords: blood pressure, gut microbiota, hypertension, synbiotic yogurt
