      Abstract
      Ulat sutra eri (Samia cynthia ricini) memiliki kemampuan reproduksi tinggi sehingga diperlukan metode untuk mengatur waktu penetasan telur. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh lama perendaman metanol 1,5 M dan lama penyimpanan dingin terhadap perkembangan embrio, durasi penetasan, durasi penundaan penetasan, dan daya tetas telur S. c. ricini. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dengan dua faktor, yaitu lama perendaman dalam metanol 1,5 M (3, 5, dan 7 menit) dan lama penyimpanan pada suhu 10 °C (7 dan 10 hari), dengan tiga ulangan. Penyimpanan dingin memperlambat perkembangan embrio tanpa mengubah urutan embriogenesis yang normal. Lama penyimpanan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap durasi penetasan, durasi penundaan penetasan, dan daya tetas. Lama perendaman metanol hanya berpengaruh terhadap durasi dan penundaan penetasan. Perendaman metanol 1,5 M selama 3, 5, dan 7 menit mampu menunda penetasan telur tanpa memengaruhi daya tetas.
       
      The eri silkworm (Samia cynthia ricini) has a high reproductive capacity, so effective methods to control egg hatching are essential. This study examined how 1,5 M methanol soaking times and cold storage durations impact embryonic development, hatching time, hatching delay, and hatchability of S. c. ricini eggs. A fully randomized factorial design was employed, with two variables: 1,5 M methanol soaking (3, 5, and 7 minutes) and cold storage at 10 °C (7 and 10 days), with three replicates. Cold storage postponed embryonic development but did not disturb the normal sequence of embryogenesis. Storage duration significantly influenced hatching time, delay, and hatchability, while methanol soaking only affected hatching time and delay. Soaking in 1,5 M methanol for 3, 5, and 7 minutes delayed egg hatching without affecting hatchability.
