| dc.description.abstract | Produksi susu sapi perah di Indonesia belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan
nasional sehingga diperlukan upaya peningkatan produktivitas, salah satunya
melalui persilangan sapi Friesian Holstein (FH) dengan Simmental. Penelitian ini
bertujuan membandingkan produksi susu, kualitas susu, dan income over feed cost
(IOFC) pada sapi FH dan FH crossbred Simmental di Erif Farm, Cisarua, Bogor.
Penelitian menggunakan 26 ekor sapi laktasi yang terdiri atas 13 ekor sapi FH dan
13 ekor sapi FH crossbred Simmental. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji
Independent Sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi susu sapi
FH 8,26% lebih tinggi dibandingkan sapi FH crossbred Simmental. Persentase
kadar lemak, protein, solid non fat (SNF), dan total solid (TS) pada sapi FH
crossbred Simmental lebih tinggi dibandingkan sapi FH, namun tidak berbeda
nyata (P > 0,05). Nilai IOFC sapi FH lebih tinggi dibandingkan sapi FH crossbred
Simmental. Sapi FH memiliki produksi susu dan nilai IOFC yang lebih tinggi,
sedangkan kualitas susu kedua rumpun sapi tidak berbeda nyata. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Indonesia's milk production is insufficient to meet national demand,
requiring efforts to improve dairy cattle productivity, including crossbreeding
Friesian Holstein (FH) with Simmental. This study aimed to compare milk
production, milk quality, and income over feed cost (IOFC) between FH and FH
crossbred Simmental crossbred cows at Erif Farm, Cisarua, Bogor. A total of 26
lactating cows, consisting of 13 FH and 13 FH crossbred Simmental crossbred cows,
were used in this study. Data were analyzed using an independent samples t-test.
The results showed that milk production of FH cows was 8.26% higher than that of
FH crossbred Simmental crossbred cows. The percentages of fat, protein, solids-not-
fat (SNF), and total solids (TS) were higher in FH × Simmental crossbred cows, but
the differences were not significant (P > 0.05). FH cows also had a higher IOFC than
FH crossbred Simmental crossbred cows. FH cows produced more milk and had a
higher IOFC, while milk quality did not differ significantly between the two genetic
groups. | |
