dc.description.abstractKeterbatasan tenaga kerja dan rendahnya efisiensi kerja pada budidaya kentang secara konvensional menjadi kendala dalam pengolahan lahan dan pemeliharaan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kinerja lapang mini cultivator pada pekerjaan furrowing, inter-row weeding, dan pembumbunan, serta menganalisis kelayakannya secara ekonomi dibandingkan metode manual. Parameter yang diamati meliputi kapasitas lapang teoritis, kapasitas lapang efektif, efisiensi lapang, konsumsi bahan bakar, pertumbuhan tanaman, hasil panen, dan analisis ekonomi. Pada pekerjaan furrowing, diperoleh kapasitas lapang teoritis 0,146 ha jam?¹, kapasitas lapang efektif 0,11–0,12 ha jam?¹, dan efisiensi lapang 78,4%. Pada pekerjaan inter-row weeding, kapasitas lapang teoritis sebesar 0,138 ha jam?¹, kapasitas lapang efektif 0,103 ha jam?¹, dan efisiensi lapang mencapai 74,3%, sedangkan pada pembumbunan kapasitas lapang efektif mencapai 0,096 ha jam?¹. Secara ekonomi, metode mekanis menghasilkan keuntungan Rp34.915.552 ha?¹ dengan R/C Ratio 1,23, IRR 21,07%, dan payback period 5,84 musim tanam, sedangkan metode manual rugi Rp161.643.303 ha?¹ dengan R/C Ratio 0,52. Penggunaan mini cultivator meningkatkan efisiensi lapang dan kelayakan ekonomi budidaya kentang.
dc.description.abstractLimited labor availability and low work efficiency in conventional potato cultivation are constraints in land preparation and crop maintenance. This study evaluated the field performance of a mini cultivator in furrowing, inter-row weeding, and hilling operations. It also analyzed the economic feasibility of the cultivator compared to manual methods. Observed parameters included theoretical field capacity, effective field capacity, field efficiency, fuel consumption, plant growth, yield, and economic return. In furrowing, the mini cultivator produced a theoretical capacity of 0.146 ha h?¹, an effective capacity of 0.11–0.12 ha h?¹, and a field efficiency of 78.4%. In inter-row weeding, the theoretical capacity was 0.138 ha h?¹, effective capacity was 0.103 ha h?¹, and field efficiency reached 74.3%, while hilling capacity reached 0.096 ha h?¹. Economically, the mechanized method generated a profit of IDR 34,915,552 ha?¹ with an R/C Ratio of 1.23, an IRR of 21.07%, and a payback period of 5.84 cropping seasons. Conversely, the manual method incurred a loss of IDR 161,643,303 ha?¹ with an R/C Ratio of 0.52. Using a mini cultivator improved field efficiency and economic feasibility.
